Guys,
I had had to vent here on this one.

Me and a friend are doing some major metal work on a 1968 Charger R/T

And once I removed what was left of the original trunk pan. ( tail light panel was already partially removed .)

And this new AMD pan laid right in, I was auwstruck ,,, as never in my life have I had something go that easy. it laid right down agaisnt the frame rails and laid right across the top of the pan above / forward of the upper shock mount crossmember. The right side trunk ext is near mint, so I left it in and will be using it and the original inner wheel houses as my starting point.

I have some small gaps around the wheel houses and a gap across the back where it welds to the tail light panel. But nothing to bad and no where near as bad as the old 2 piece pan fit issues I had with my old challenger trunk install

AMD fits like a glove. Put a full front floor pan and footwells in my 70 R/T and it dropeed right in where it should have. All the brackets for seatbelts and buckets already spotwelded on

Did notice a slight difference in the placement of the drain plugs, but if you didn't have the original sitting beside it you'd never know.

What I like about the AMD stuff is its made to join at all factory seams. Spotweld it on and you'd never know anything was changed vs 1/2 a dozen patches which are obvious to the eye. Next to no finishing required. Parts are a little more $$, but well pay off in the time saved in body/metal work.

Beautiful stuff, I am installing a new driver rear rail and spring perch, trunk pan, crossmember, valance, corners, outer wheel houses, drop offs, tail panel, trunk triangles and quarters panels on my 69 Charger and this AMD stuff fit's like a glove and the front fenders are VERY, VERY NICE!!!! Well worth the money!!!  :2thumbs:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

I'll never understand the guys that complain about the price/quality of AMD parts. I would not have even bought my car pre AMD days as the only way to restore it would have been to buy a rust free shell for $$$ and cut it up. There were no good repro parts available. Every charger needed 1/4's. If you could find NOS they were what 3-4-5k a piece ? With full floors,1 piece trunkpan, full 1/4's we should praise them.

I can't imagine looking for good 1/4 top pieces and new half 1/4's. You would be welding, applying filler with a foot wide paddle by the gallon and blocking for weeks. The extra cost for full 1/4's pays for itself in double compared to finishing 1/2 panels and needless to say its full of plastic.

Hats off to AMD for enabling mopars to be saved.

Another thumbs up here for AMD. Replaced both front floor pans and trunk pan. No fitment issues.

The only bitch I have is that I also replaced the rear valence. After taking some measurements it seemed to me that I could go with a one piece trunk pan instead of the two piece since I could slid it thru under the tail panel with the valence out. The guy at Autobody Specialties insisted that wouldn't work and I would need to remove a quarter panel. So I ordered the two piece pan, guess what, the one piece would have worked, however working by myself the two piece was a lot easier to horse around. since I had to patch in some of the lower wheel wells the pans were in and out of the car quite a bit.
