Why would I only have 1 brake light illuminate on the left inside, but all work as tail lights?  I had replaced the turn signal cam awhile ago. Just wondering, doubt it's a grounding issue as all work as tail lights.

Did you check the bulb? its a double contact and maybe brake light is burnt?

Forgot to mention that, all new bulbs last year before the cam replacement.

Good luck man,
I will eventually have figure out the same basic issue (mine is a little more complicated) on the 69....
Mine goes like this....
Running and brake lights work until I hit the left signal, when I do that, everything except that signal goes out. Upon hitting the right signal, everything goes back to working  properly   :eek2:

I too replaced the signal cam but didn't verify if everything was working before  :brickwall:
I think the next step is to replace the whole facking switch...

I also think that's got to be the problem.

I bet it is a ground issue , the lights will work fine until both elements are lit then it cannot ground back through the other circuit .

So, when the tail lights are on, the 2nd wire acts as ground?  But with brakes, both wires are powered; so it gounds off the housing?

I took the three bulb harnesses out, that aren't working; tightened up the clips around the bulb so it fit better...  but brake lights still don't come one.

I reckon you'll have to start testing between sets to determine where the continuity stops, but also take out all the lamps and test them individually, I had to build up one of the lamp contacts with solder to get it to engage better on the incoming pin. Took a while to get all the gremlins out on mine.

Darko asked me 'What the sequence was'' so I did a short clip
