I have a 68 Charger I used as a donor car to finish my project car. It's pretty much stripped. There are parts inside the car, trunk lid, bumpers, etc that were taken off the car. Is this car worth selling as a whole or should I piece it out? Or put it on the scrap pile? I'd hate to junk it, but I don't know if it's worth anything to anyone. What do you think? Need your  :Twocents: :shruggy:

terrible one

I'd pass on the hassle of parting it out and still being left with a hulk to transport to the scrapyard, and there is too much car there to scrap the whole thing. I say throw it on EBay and see I you can get a few hundred for the whole thing.

Rolling_Thunder

agreed - you can stil get some $$$ out of it - K member, suspension, steering box, inner fenders, firewall, etc -  try to sell it for a low figure like $1500 and see what happens. I definitely would NEVER scrap it

Hi,
I'm getting some replies on people who want to buy the whole shell. I'm located in Eastern PA, 1/2 hr N of Allentown. Zip is 18088. I don't want to cut it up, I'd rather sell it whole. Depending on what you're looking for, I could sell the shell only, or also include parts inside. Right now, the car is being used as a "shed". I have it covered with a tarp. THERE IS NO TITLE FOR THE VEHICLE. I'm available on the weekends if anyone wants to take a look at it. I'm taking offers.
Thanks for the replies!

LOTS of good parts still left on that rusted hulk. Makes no sense to completely scrap one of these cars. That's still a great organ donor: front frame rails, firewall, suspension, axle, etc & who knows what else is still attached to it.  :yesnod:

BTW, does it have an R/T VIN, or base model??  :scratchchin:

DO NOT JUNK IT!!  :icon_smile_angry:

Be smart, sell the shell to someone that will put it to good use in stead of in a dumb junk yard.

maybe there's more money in it if you completly part it out.

I myself paid $125 6 months ago for a non AC firewall. There still is some good OEM sheetmetal on that beast. Like a roof or a ront end with frame rails...

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

You could get some money if someone needs a piece of frame (in case theirs is bent/wrecked)

It was a general Lee in it past live so this car would go fast when you sell it. Some people would think it is a real Lee  :D

But don't scrap it never ever do :slap:!

I agree.  Don't scrap it.  Sell for a few hundred to another of us maniacs that can use the parts.  The doors alone are probably something that someone could use.

jaak

Fenders alone are worth some $$$. I remember what was it 2001 to 2006 they was worth $500.00 per fender back then. Not shure what they would be worth now days but I'm sure they are worth some doe ray me though.

Even tho AMD has steel fenders out?

DAY CLONA

First off, don't scrap it yet,....second where is the car located?, what state?...as no one wants to pay $1500 to transport a $500 parts cars "home" if your off the beaten trail, sure there's always local buyers, but also local prices, location greatly influences asking prices
