Well I finally got my butt outlaw the wagon and painted the Six-pack hood.. I also wanted to give Strat some peace of mind that he doesn't have to wonder any more, if Ill paint the hood or not  So this is for you Strat.. A a painted hood dedicated to you :punkrocka:

Sorry about the pics being blurry :'(

/Tom

**Disclaimer** The paint job is in no way a pro job. It took two cans of primer and 3 cans of flat black paint..

Mefirst

Me again.. and the hood.. You can see how concentrated I am :smilielol:

A crappy blurry pic of the hood painted... The reason it looks to have a "tiger stripe" surface, is because the paint wasn't dry when I took the pic.. When the paint dried, the surface became ok.. Well not "ok" in the sense of perfect, but I can live with the result... :lolexplode:

Here is what it looks like when mounted...

It sucks to take pics of a black car in a dark environment... And -Yes, I know... I have to wash my ride

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well, I have been trying my best to get my ride on the road, but unfortunately the car has been fighting me ever single inch of the way to make this happen.. Latest problem was a leaking fuel line fitting.. My original plan was to have my ride on the road in May, but we are now in August, so I don't even dare to make any comments on when my ride will actually be on the road. I hope it will happen no later than this weekend and then pass tech inspection before next Friday.. (Big car meet and cruise next Saturday, I hope I can attend with my own ride)

About the 1/4mile times.. In theory my ride should be able to pull a time of 11.3-11.5sec with a perfect run, but I still need to prove that theory. I have never competed before in 1/4mile racing, so I have allot of things to learn, so thats the main point of my concentration and also try to not destroy my ride in the process. My aim for best ET for whats left of this season is to get a time of 12.0-12.5sec..

A little side note.. Me and Ron (Firefighter...) are "racing" eachother. Sadly Ron and me aren't able to drive head to head, due to the simple reason we are located on the opposite sides of the planet.. and Ron's car is still in the shop.. So sadly you guys will have to wait until next season before you can start to follow this hardcore, balls to the wall race.. We have set the rules already, they are simple... "Stockweight" Charger. Pure horsepower, in other words no power additives like Nitrous is allowed. Copies of timeslips will be posted here. The one (Me :icon_smile_big: ) with the fastest timeslip by the end of the season will get a case of beer from the one with the slower ET (Ron :'( )

Flat black 6-pack hoods are one of my all time favourites and mefirst I've always liked your car, even got a pic on my computer. Many a time I have thought of painting my 68 black. :METAL:
