Steve McQueen and Mopars

Any Steve McQueen fans out there who might know if he ever owned a 70 Road Runner?

As far as I know, no although his son has some of the cars he owned.

Peterson Museum had a listing of a few, several of each in some cases, Porches, Jags, Manx Buggy, Mini Cooper S, MG's, Triumph, 57 Chevy, of course the 68 GT Mustang, Shelby's & many motorcycles a favorite Indian Scout & tons of dirt bikes, remember "On any Sunday", he was an avid car racer & desert/enduro bike racer & dirt bike rider, the famed MX & Desert Racers Malcom Smith & Dan McGraw"Magoo", I think were good buddies... No mention of a 70 RR, I checked a couple of sites, but that doesn't mean he didn't have 1... Good luck

Yeah, they list a bunch in that one book too (title escapes me) but not much there for Mopars.  Seems he liked bikes, sports cars, and Fords so I think this connection is a stretch.  Thanks though.

were'nt there one for sale ,  suposadly  Steve Mcqueen  bought it new     think it were FK5 or EV2 with black top

Ahh, yeah.  That is kind of the one I'm talking about, to make the thread a little more specific.  I'd like to know if it's genuine.
