Pistol grips are great for '70 and up, but stick with the ball shifter for '68 and '69s!

I say ball or t-handle.  IMO, the handle just appears to be too long on pistol grips in b-bodies.  I do, however, like the looks of a pistol grip in either an e-body or a '71 and up b-body with console - nice short shifter.

Always preferred ball shifters over anything else. Since I have never driven a stick Charger my vote for ball is for both looks and previous experience with other vehicles.

Ahhh, hogwash.      In order for it to be considered Rat Fink you have to be able to see the pistol grip from outside the car.  I haven't seen that done yet, someone needs to take advantage of that idea.

Ahhh, hogwash.      In order for it to be considered Rat Fink you have to be able to see the pistol grip from outside the car.  I haven't seen that done yet, someone needs to take advantage of that idea.

It doesn't completely qualify but I did do that in an 83 Omnicharger I once had.  I'll have to dig up a photo as it was worth a laugh.  I still have the boogered up Omnicharger shifter with my homemade adapter plate on it to get the pistol grip bolted on.  For that matter I still have the pistol grip somewhere.

I agree   The ball shifter is was what I started with and the pistol grip tried to make me learn something new. I was just fine thank you.

Mine  was told its a 70 hurst it's bent like a sideway u shape and does not hit the dash pad.
