Is anyone going to try the new MSD Atomic EFI?  Seems really easy?!

Seems too easy from the video? It is cool though. I'm waiting for the prices to come way down before I think about efi. I would like to try it one day.

I'm very interested too but would want to hear some positive feed back before I go ahead with it.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

A couple of things I noticed... there are only 4 injectors, it looks like one per barrel. On a regular EFI, there is usually one per cylinder, mounted on the intake. With the fuel injectors mounted further from the actual intake, it seems like it would be less efficient and less optimal. However, you don't have to mount fuel rails or have an EFI capable intake. It looks like a really nice system for a street setup with very easy connections (the easiest I've seen yet). I've got a 6A and an electronic MSD distributor for my Charger, so I may look into this more. It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of this system to a F.A.S.T. system and a standard carburetor in terms of HP and fuel efficiency.

I think this is the only system I have seen so far that does not take a return fuel line.  I like that and how easy setting up the fuel lines in general are.  I too have MSD 6AL and distributor but I am not sure you would still need the 6AL after installing this kick....

nope -  I don't plan on using it but looks fairly interesting. However, I am not too enthused about it either - It doesn't seem too complex but that isn't necessarily a good thing - for those guys who want EFI on the easiest way possible it is great. I would prefer an MPEFI system compared to a glorified TBI system. The tuning ability on systems such as this are generally very simple - they do not allow the user to do extensive tuning - which is good for some applications - not good for others    :Twocents:

A friend and I just ordered a Fast EZ multi-port kit from Scott Brown @ Competition Components for our big block strokers.Price is very close to a TBI kit.

I watched the video and also did a quick search looking for it's capabilities. (Up to what HP will it work?) I could not find anything. In the vid Steve says the Shovey has a 300 HP 350 motor. That's pretty lite for the times. I'm wondering what the 4 bore sizes are??   :shruggy:

What size injectors?
They are 80lb/hr @ 60PSI.

Damn, I need better glasses. I did see that page and missed the MAX HP.. Looks like it says 620 HP max... Would love to see the dyno numbers vs. the correct sized carb.
