What color were alt pulleys on 68s originally? I've seen more than one the gold-colored style (yellow zinc or cad) but have also seen black and bare metal.

To the best of my knowledge, the alternator pulley should be semi-gloss black.

Awesome, thanks! So semi gloss black? Is that different than the other pulleys? I thought the others were gloss black. :shruggy:

Not 100% certain if the other pulleys were a full-on gloss black. Usually, a rattle-can gloss black on the crank/water pump pulley, etc will give the correct sheen. Once installed on the engine & run, the heat usually causes the gloss to die back some.

Thanks. I might do it in gloss just to match the rest of my pulleys.
