Two days to go, my ninjas!

Hit me up with some #'s!

BTW - for those of you that are getting in early - and I mean early - we'll be doing a cruise from Woodley Park (site of the show) thru the Malibu mountains and PCH tomorrow (that's right..Friday). We meet at about 9:45 am and plan to roll at about 10:15. Just another show related activity if you're looking for something to do tomorrow.

I just have to get the wife packed and I'm good to go.

Been fighting with the Charger the last two day trying to get a god damn oil leak fixed and my front break lines replaced. The break lines were a big fail but I got the oil leak resolved.

Come 4.45am I'm hitting the road.
I should be at the host hotel around 5pm.

Troy

I'll be there Saturday morning some time (maybe I'll make some of the activities Friday night). Number is 513-907-7844.

On the road to the PHC

I will add you to my list of numbers Troy. Hopefully we will see you at the museum tonight.

I'm in LA after a long trip Thursday. Killed lots of bugs on the grill and windshield. The Road Runner ran great. I'm with family today, no cruise or warehouse for me. See y'all Saturday morning.

Never made it to the museum.

LA traffic sucks, the freeway was jammed and a accident didn't help matters at all. The poor Charger was running around 240 degrees but held in like a trooper making it to the hotel. After a while we went and got it washed getting all of the bugs off it.

My Friends Mark and Melisa made it in there 66 Charger and we went out to dinner. While walking down the street to eat we see this car full of punks trying to drive down the gutter of the street rubbing thier wheels against the curb, they run into the back of a UPS cargo truck and trailer. They back up and sit there for a minute. The truck driver never felt the hit. The truck drives off and the punks drive off. Funniest crap I saw all day.

Well its been a long day and I'm going to bed. See everyone tomorrow.

Supercharged Riot

Have fun at the show guys.
I wish I could make it, but I gotta go to my friend's baby shower.
And I dont have a running Charger right now.

I was hoping to find someone that's selling an intake manifold.

Maybe next year.

Made it home around 10am today and I'm beat.

Charger made it home without any drama unlike Saturday. Starter decided to fail so I spent Saturday evening in the hotel parking lot replacing it.

it was great meeting Troy, Ponch, Finn, Monolith and seeing Dan (68X426) and Steve (GunMetal) again.
I have lots of pics and video to sift throught so I will post some later.

Here are my pictures from the weekend.

Friday was a trip down hwy 1 with some other mopar heads
Saturday was a show and shine park anywhere you like
Sunday was judging by class

Kenny Wayne Shepard showed up Saturday with his GL and Duster
and Jey Leno showed up with one of his Chrysler Turbine cars.

Sorry no pictures of me under my Charger changing the starter out.

Thanks for coming down guys. We had one of the biggest turnouts since I've been part of CPW (365 cars on Saturday). It was good to meet some of you first timers and to see some of you again. I would have liked to spend more time hanging out with the DC.com crew, but being involved with the show means that I have to be running all over the place.

So NorCal guys....Capital City Mopars on 6/23 or Mopar Alley on 6/3? Don't know for sure if I can make either one just yet, but I'd at least like to start planning it.

Thanks for the pics, Steve. Looks like a great time! I see you met our fearless leader...just be sure you frame that pic!

Ponch, Mopar Alley on 6/3 is always a good time for a one day show. No where close as big as your shindig but still a good time under the shade of the eucalyptus trees.

Great show as always. CPW does a great job of adding in other activities in addition to the show. Other clubs should consider something similar.
I'm a member of the Capital City Mopars. For me, these car shows have usually only been about the cars and the swap meet. THIS year, I actually had MORE fun hanging out with fellow enthusiasts. The show was great, but the other activities really shined for me. I don't know how difficult it might be to schedule a cruise or drag race event to tie into our show, but I'm going to bring it up at our meetings.

I was there in the '67 for the Malibu Cruise on Friday, although I was running really late and didn't catch up to everyone until after the Rock Store.  Lunch at the Reel Inn was great, but the traffic out of there was atrocious, and I'm an LA native.  I sat in the left hand turn lane for 20 minutes waiting to turn up Topanga Cyn, and the average speed from there was about 6 mph for the 1st 1/2 of the canyon.  Engine was fine running 180-ish, but the trans was getting up to 240.  2.76's and a 3000 stall converter work great at triple digits, not so well putting around in low.

I was in the swap area on Saturday in my truck, and actually did very well, but I could not for the life of me get rid of the '68 Charger fenders, even at $200 for the pair for some very straight metal.  One had some pinhole issues and was priced accordingly, but c'mon, $200 for the pair with a 3rd for patches thrown in free and no takers?!?

I wish I could have met up with some of you guys personally, but maning the swap space really doesn't allow for the social time.

Thanks for coming out to both the Cruise and the Show. The cruise had the biggest turnout since we started doing it in 2007 - about 35 cars. You're the guy that came from the AV right? your car is badass, dude ...sorry I didnt get to talk to you more, but hopefully ill see you at some other shows.

The traffic deal on PCH / Topanga was an aberration from the norm. Evidently at the same time we were having lunch at the Reel Inn (who, BTW, were VERY accommodating to us and will definitely be getting our business in the future) some assclown in a stolen car decided to drive it off a cliff on Malibu Canyon to escape the cops. So by the time we were done, Malibu Canyon was closed down while they looked for him, creating havoc on most of the immediate canyon roads back to the Valley. I ended up having to back track all the way to Kanan Road (a good 12 miles) - pretty aggravating considering that I live literally off a block off Topanga on the Valley side.

Justin - the other dude that runs the Cruise - and I are considering tweaking the route a little for future cruises, as we've been doing the same exact drive for a good 5 years now. But who knows...the participants seem to enjoy it, so why mess with success?

I had a good time at the show and meeting new people. Some other things didn't go so great but, overall, it was a good trip. Lots of 1st gens at the show. And, I have pictures!

Someone else's loss was my gain.  ;)  Thanks, Dan, for bringing the fenders up to the Bay Area (even though you had to be up here anyway). You are one of the good guys.

The short story....
Steve (GunMetal) called me Saturday of the show and left me a message saying that Dan (67Charger 440) had a fender for my '68. Steve would then be able to bring it back up to the Bay Area which would have been the perfect scenario. However, I looked at my messages Monday morning. :brickwall:  Then Dan posted on this thread that he still had the fender(s); it turns out that he was going to up this way today and could bring up the fenders at no charge. Needless to say I now have two charger front fenders in the back of my truck. A great start to my week. And best of luck with getting your Dad's race car on the road.  :2thumbs:
