Hello,

Well I finally received my first new car, a 2011 Juke AWD SL. I must say, it is one of the most fun vehicles I have ever owned. The light weight and short wheelbase make it very darty, and it just sticks where ever you want it (for an eco-box that is). It has ample grunt from the 1.6 Liter Turbo 4 (188 horse) and in sport mode the cvt keeps the engine in boost at all times, while weighting the steering wheel. If anyone is looking for a fun little run about, that has looks like non other and can run through Michigan winters no sweat, look at the Juke.

There are one of those out in the parking lot here at work.  Might not be enough room in the back for 3 kids though...   :icon_smile_blackeye:

Funky.  I can't afford a new car.  My car is over 40 years old.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

greenpigs

Never seen one of them yet & congrats on a new car.

JUKE...JUNK, sorry I had to be the first to say it. Kidding

I have had a car payment for nearly 15 years.

Not long after I pay a car off I get a new one, my dad says I am car poor or a nice way of saying stupid.

Did you get to use your brand new employee discount? ;)

I bought my first "new" car right after getting my first "real" job out of college also. It was actually slightly used since I got a lease trade-in but it was the first car I had to get a loan for.

With all due respect, for a variety of personal reasons, an asian import car would not be my first choice of vehicle.  If you choose to drive one,  that is fine with me.

I have never owned a new car.  But I can guarantee you unless it was something really special, I probably wouldn't post about it either.    With regard to the Juke, this thread is something akin to the excitement I feel when I buy a new toaster.    Don't get me wrong.  I really like my new toaster.   I just don't know that I need to tell the world about it.

Reason I ask is if that was my car, besides the limo tint on the side & back windows, I'd have to tint the windshield as well.

Anyone know why?  ;)

We've paid off 2 new Rams.  Unfortunately the wife totaled out the last one but we got top dollar for low miles & condition.

Ya miller, give us a date on when the car will arrive so we dont sit here thinking you found it in a locked storage container.

I really don't have a date on when the automobile is coming, its all down to how fast the car can be processed and shipped to me, at some point they will call my phone and tell me the car is available for pick up. I wish I could give you guys a date but thats the breaks...

For all,

If I would have got a boring sedan or something of the like, I wouldn't have bothered posting about, but I thought the juke was funky enough and had enough character to warrant the post. Some people hate the looks of it, and thats great, it shows car companies are trying new things, and it wasn't designed to be bland and boring, cough Camry cough. I also wanted to show that this car is a really good car, it's so small outside that it can fit anywhere, there is tons of space in every direction for the driver and passenger (rear seat is a touched cramped), and with the awd turbo, it can get through anything, I took it up to sno-drift last weekend and it was hanging with the WRXs (not speed but capability). If you don't like the juke, thats fine, but if anyone was considering it, its a fun little piece of kit.
