What's it worth? My old, crusty pickup truck ?

It's a '94 1500

360 c.i. (5.9 liter for those of you on the metric system)

118K on the clock

Peeling paint

Rusty door bottoms

Back bumper rusted to death ( I have a good bumper for it )

Interior looks like Godzilla used it for a love shack.

A/C still works.

I bought this truck new in May '94 and proceded to beat on it like a red headed step child

until I bought a new victim in October '11

So... What's this heap worth?

Here's a picture:

More opinions, please!

I'd like lots of replies on this, even if it's:

Unfortunately, being that you know it's a POS, that has had the everlovin' sh*t beat out of it, I'd say it's value is yet to be determined by the buyer of said POS.

If someone's looking for a "Work Truck" as it sounds like what you are referring to here, then It might be worth more to that person. ME? I'd say being what looks to be a 2WD, long bed, around $1000-$1500. Tops.

Run a search on eBay for comparisons then search ended auctions. If it runs good and isn't rusted all to heck you may be surprised. I like it!! Old red Dodge trucks rock!! :2thumbs:

What I consider a crusty beater might be someone else's dream ride.  :shruggy:

All things are relative  :coolgleamA:

I agree, it would make a very good work truck for someone  :yesnod:

I want the wheels on your truck for mine. I don't like the 3 hole ones I got on my truck.

Hell, I just bought a '99 and it still has a cassette player in it. Had to replace one speaker, but all still works good. I see no need to replace with aftermarket stuff just yet.

I'd say, put it up for at least $2000.00. Somebody will probably beat you down to 13 or 1,400.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Transportation = $2k.     A dealer would be asking $2,999.   The last part of 2011 pu prices shot up (everywhere).  They've settled down a little,  but I would ask $3k and take no less than $2K.

jb666

Around here, 2wd is fairly useless... I have a buddy who buys at the auction and re-sells cheap... He's got a '95 4x4 right now with 120k on the clock for $999.

I love the honest description though... Great stuff.

Back in November '09 I had all new brakes put on it. Rotors, drums, calipers, wheel cylinders...the works... Four new shocks too... I doubt I put more than 3 or 4 thousand miles on it since then. A few months before that it got a new radiator too...

rt green

up in the rust belt [south dak] you'd get close to 3k to the right buyer. no rust.the problem once again is transportation. i think there is more pickups in this state per cap. than any other
third string oil changer

Up here in B.C, Canada that would be a $2000 truck. :yesnod:

Nobody seems to want 2WD it seems. My son just bought a 97, 1500, 318, 5 speed (which I think is a value adder in these old trucks),club cab, 4wd. It runs great and has no rust other than the drivers door is starting at the bottom. He paid $2000.

$1000 with rust here but everything working. $1800 no rust. but rams dont hold a lot of value on the older ones. I saw a 96 4wd ext cab with 38's and lift kit. trans was new with papers for $2600
