3-speed wiper switch

on a three speed wiper switch, the little contact points that burn into, inside of the switch, does that work like a fuse, because i see no fuse in the fuse panel for the wipers, unless i missed it, could you in theory put a inline fuse between the 2 contact point terminals, and that would be a sufficient fix? appriciate any help.

No there is no fuse for the wipers.  With the wipers off you should have power to the blue wire at the wiper plug if you need to check the motor. Just pulled my motor out today to send out for repairs.   Not sure about the switch question . . .
