Hi guys! I´m thinking of replacing the shifter mechanism on my A-833 trans, Can someone please tell me
step by step procedure how to adjust the shifter linkage?

Thanks!

Depends on the shifter. Hurst has a hole you put a 5/16 rod into to align the plates, the you adjust the rods accordingly. An Inland shifter doesn't matter, it'll still be a pain to shift no matter how you adjust the rods. Either way your new shifter will have instructions.

Inside the shifter assembly are plates that the linkages attach to. There is a recess in the top of them for the gear selector to slide across when you move the handle to select a gear. This grove needs to be aligned properly so you can shift gears without interference.
