Hi guys,

Just need your expertise in decoding the machined pad at the front of the engine on a -68 R/T.

D440     A
3 11 HP

D = 1968
440, well obvious, it's an awesome R/T  :cheers:
A = .20" oversize cylinder bore
3 = Day of engine assembly
11 = Month of engine assembly
HP = High Performance.

The car is, according to the fender tag, built in early March 68. So things do add up with the stamping above? Engine is built 3 of November 1967, right? Seems good to me, motor is built like 5 months before installed in the car?

Thanks!

Voss

Or is it in fact March 11 I'm looking at?
