69 rt tail stripes

getting ready to install white r/t tail stripes on 69 charger Rt. original and intended body color is dark red.  should the side marker housings be red or white? i am seeing both ways on high end restos. thanks in advance, mike

Should be stripe color. The ones that were somtimes body color were 500 and Daytonas. I mean never say never,but most are mistakes if on a regular R/T.
