How many times have we (collectively) been on the wrong side of a warranty? Well, finally one went my way. Battery on my commuter car gave up the ghost on Friday. Tested it this weekend and went in to the dealer today as the car is under 2 yrs old. Just as my testing showed, the bat was shot, would not hold a charge. Well the wall to wall warranty on the car is 3yrs/36k....

Car has 35,253 mi on it. Got a free replacement.     :2thumbs:  Ok, so it was under a $100, but nice to not have to shell it out.

:RantExplode:

Never fear! Yesterday, yes one day afterward, our youngest Labrador (dog that is) got ill. Really ill. Yacking 13 times during the day ill. Never had a dog be that ill. Wife came home from work and found 8 piles scattered throughout the house. $250 in vet bills later she seems to be doing better.  Oh, did I mention that the wife usually works from home, and typically only needs to go into the office about 2 days a month.

Paybacks are apparently a real B**ch.    :brickwall: :brickwall:

Our friend's 8 month old Lab swallowed the the wheel of a toy car and it got stuck. AU$2000.00 later the dog is doing fine and the owner's are paying off the credit card.
But what can you do, they're family and family needs looking after.

i gotta tell ya this one. we have 3 small dogs shitzu bishon and maltese. they have a yard fenced off and we leave the door open when its warm so they run in and out. well the neighbors got a new yellow lab puppy that has come over to visit the back yard a few times till the neighbors find it. so one night we were watching t v and heard loud crunching. our three were all sitting in the living room, so the woman that lives in my house turns and looks in the kitchen and there is the yellow lab scarfing at the food bowl. it was pretty funny. :2thumbs:
