How old were you when you got your first charger???

Well I was curious to how old everyone on here was when they got their first charger, because im now 16 almost 17 and my step dad gave me the one he bought to fix up?

17 in 1972 got a 68 charger.

Got my 68 when I was 17 in 1978.

1983, I was 18 and got a '71 GTX. The 440 in it turned out to be a 413 Police motor. Had it rebuilt anyway and it was pretty fast... to me anyway.

Age 16. You could get a car, license and insurance on your own back in the day.

It was a '68 with a 318. And it was green and had 97,000 miles. I had worked my ass off as a kid and teen and saved my money. Bought it the summer before the start of my junior year in HS, it was 1973. Had to work two jobs to keep it. It got me thru college too and I finally sold it in 1979 with 225,000 plus miles. Still ran tight.

Like the saying goes "I was Mopar before Mopar was cool".

59.  Bought it to work on as a retirement project.  Had it 7 years and am about 1/2 way done with it.  Still working.  Retired and came back as a contractor so all my work on the car has to be done in my spare time.
