well, i've been tinkering with the charger lately..got it tuned up pretty good now, but i still need to clean the carb out alittle bit (edelbrock) anyway, i was test driving it and it seemed to be very "doggy"...i'd push the pedal down and it didnt' seem to get moving like it should have...(seemed like 1/8 throttle and 3/4 throttle accelerated the same) and at about 30 in 1st the seemed to cut out alittle....do i just need to check the timing and tune the carb? or could it be a tranny problem (rebuilt tranny, but i have noticed that the kickdown isn't working)...any suggestions are great as i'm gonna start drving it for a daily driver pretty soon so i can do some work to my real daily driver....

later  :icon_smile_cool:
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

fix the kickdown first , the problem could be in the tranny

myk

Yeah.  When you floor it the car should noticeably downshift and surge.  This shouldn't be any more difficult than adjusting the linkage...
