Looking at some Isky adjustable rockers and its suggested to use Banana cut Rocker shafts.....I googled it and see where guys groove stock shafts with an angled groove to facilitate shaft oiling with certain type rockers

Anyone have any detail as to angle of cut, depth?........is this something that can be done with a cutoff wheel?.......Does the groove go wider than the rocker arm?

Thanks as always!

I've done it with a cut off wheel. It nothing that has to be particularly precise. Just keep the grooves within the width of the rockers. Do it about 30 degrees off axis.

Thanks.........is there a minimum depth?

Hughes use to sell the Banana cut shafts, but they have recently moved to a milled flat on the shaft rather than an angled cut. Not that one is any better than the other, they just started milling flats because it was cheaper.
