Rallyecharger

Back in 1998 I had the chance to buy a '69 Daytona, F8 green w/green interior. It was shown at our local World of Wheels shows a little bit during the 80's but mostly sat off the radar in Edmonton.
I was buying some 70 Charger fenders and I had to ask how much $$...........he responded $35-40'000.
I just bought an acreage so it was a no-go for me........still kickin' myself :brickwall:
It ended up being sold the following year to someone in the U.S.....

ACUDANUT

IMO, That was too much back in the 80's, but the 90's I can see it.

In around 1997 a local classic car dealership had a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE 440 6 pack 4 speed. Engine wasn't numbers matching block and it was painted yellow but original color was plum crazy. Completely restored and could have gotten it for around $10-15k PLUS he said it was owned by Steve Young  :brickwall:
What's a Steve Young?  :shruggy:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I just got a lead on a '66, turquoise, w white guts. original 318 car, now has a 383.  Haven't seen it yet, and it's been stored outside for a long time    :'(.......we'll see what the owner wants, and if I need another project.

Maybe this'll be one that doesn't get away. :scratchchin:....and be pro-tour... ;)

What Charger(s) have you passed on, only to think about for months, or even for years  :popcrn:

The 3 '68's a few miles from my place buried in sticker bushes.... :brickwall:

Not a charger but worth the story.

Brother and i were looking to buy a car back in the mid 90's. Called about a 67 cuda drag car said it had a hemi that was blown up. Called the guy ended up being a rear engine mount set up. :popcrn: Same day we were going into montreal to look at a 69 383 charger for $6k. Charger was a bondo bucket. Was dark by the time we got around to see the cuda and said aww forget it must be a mock up. $4000 with the hemi.

A few months go by and we open the MCG and BAM Hemi under glass cuda found in montreal  :brickwall: :brickwall:

Guess should have gone to see the cuda first.

One thing i learned is that if you see a car and its reasonably priced you seem to still say its too much $$. Then 5 years or so later you kick yourself for not buying it.
