bend headers

 the 440 I got came with a set of headers that were on the motor (no idea what brand)   and they need to come inboard about 1.5 in. each to go through the center space of the  cross member. Having been heated can they still be bent or am I dreaming or do I need to get pipe bent. The collector is 3.5 and I am going to put in a step down.

I doubt you could bend them with out collapsing them, need to be cutting them apart {probably} & if your going to do that you might as well weld in some bends/radius at the proper angles & some quality collectors too boot... Look at this guys site {know him from another forum} he's really good, the stuff is pricey, but you can get an idea of what works well, www.performancewelding.com, the guy Mark build all kinds of race headers, for some big name guys & always willing to talk/help if time permits....
