Bleeding Brakes on a Master

Hi guys, I got the Master bolted into my charger (2nd gen), an I plum for got about bleeding the new master before putting it in. Now I notice there is a small screw like cap between the two outline outlets on the side of the master where the lines are located at, what does this screw do? I been on youtube an watched bleeding brake masters but haven't seen anything mention about this screw though.

Are you talking about the small bolt on the bottom part of the master cyl?  If so, that needs to stay in as that holds the front half of the piston in and only gets removed when you are rebuilding the master cylinder.

You can still bench bleed it on the firewall.  :yesnod:

Hook up your bleeding kit to it, & use the brake pedal to slowly pump the master instead of in a vise. Just go easy & SLOWLY, not to spew brake fluid everywhere.
Or, just remove the 4 measly nuts holding it on & bleed it in a vise.
