Ok, dunno how to describe it. Its a mixed feeling. I never have driven a car with this kind of iddle and exhauts "drone" and noise LOL, so this is being hard to me, used to drive my daily driver car so "quiet" ( quiet into a V8 parameters ) and stable iddle it had, then jump to this, but at the time, the feeling giving gas is GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT.

I'm really paranoid with any noise or any change I feel and heard. Specially being this is the first time I drive it since July 11 2010

Great stuff Nacho :2thumbs:
The strange noises are only a concern in the beginning because you don't know if it's good or bad. But once you get used to what's right you'll be able to forget about them and just enjoy the ride.
Happy motoring!

well there is a noise I already identified ( or I think so ) and is the exhauts pipe hitting the torsion bar. When I made the exhaust system, never noticed the motor mounts where damaged, so now with new mounts, is hitting a little bit :P. Will try to correct it monday or tuesday. I have new flanges to weld on them too.

Honestly I thought the iddling was to be a little bit more stable. Not bad but is more "shaking" than I expected. Impressive my tach keeps stay on the RPMs I set ( 850 or so ) even the shaking/iddling.

wondering how much will last long the stock mounts :shruggy:. They are NOS

I think I found the reason for the "RUMPETEE RUMPETEE"  iddling ( "harder" iddling than I expected ). It was an ECU MODULE FAILURE. It was simply giving some warnings about a soon failure and today got broken.

after some pick up coil test ( I thought it could be that first since the FBO module was barelly used 3 months since mounted back in april 2010 ) replaced with this unit that I got 2 months ago:

and DONE... back at home and with a better iddle.

nice, HUH ?

hipothetically, Module is still under warranty ( 2 years ), now, lets see what happens

Good work Nacho. Glad you found the problem so quickly and that it was nothing major. That's one headache less. The sooner all the little problems are sorted out, the sooner you can get on with enjoying the ride.  :2thumbs:
Took my car out for a drive today................i'm still smiling! :drive:

well, being sunday ( everything closed ) it took me 5 hours to solve the problem. Thanks God everything did happen on a Mac Donald's parking lot. I requested to a buddy to give me his distributor and take out the pick up coil to check if really was that or not. I wanted to discard the pickup coil first before go to home and replace the ECU, specially if supposelly was fairly new.

Lucky you...................when I took mine out for it's maiden run I boke down miles from home and anywhere for that matter. I couldn't even get a phone signal so I had to walk a few miles before I could ring for a tow truck. It was just a little ignition problem but took the rest of the day to sort out and some dollars to boot! Oh and I had the wife with me also..............and you guessed it..............she wasn't very impressed. Being on the weekend it took a good hour beforte the tow truck showed up.
