the orgional 68 Charger convertable

I read an artical a few years back about the Guy that actually designed the 68 Charger. He explained in the artical why he did not what Chrysler to make any convertable versions. He said he was worried that because of cost that chrysler would make the regular Chargers have the roof line of the Coronets so that they could use the coronet roof convertable top. So he never desinged one.  anyway This guy actually started his own Charger convertable project but never finished it. I think he actually gave it away to someone who would finish it. Anyone know where it is and if it ever got finished??
