when are you comming through?  I am just off old 66 in Granite city IL.  Springfield is a nice stop many things to see!

Some of us doing the Hot Rod Power Tour are turning around in St. Louis and driving RT66 back.

there are a couple cool old gas stations to get pic's at on the way back to springfield. lithcfield drive in, the cozydog drive-in springfield,joliet historical museum, ariston cafe in litchfield,odell gas station,amblers-beckers station in dwight, rt.66 hall of fame museum in dwight,original brick road in auburn,soulsby station jn mount olive. lots of stuff.im right off 66 by edwardsville near allen-41husk. you get down here we can get you all the literature you need for a 66 trip back home :2thumbs:

there is also a car lot called country classics. hundreds of old cars. they can be a little pricy there but for a buck apiece you drive through and check out the cars. then there are 4 buildings full of cars. thats by mount olive right on 66.

if your into it, the pink elephant is a antique mall, but they also have a space ship an old fashion icecream shop, a giant pink elephant. stuff like that right on 66 for some good picture taking.
