How can you tell it's him?

Well, if it is him and he stiffs the buyer he won't be able to use the Iraq deployment excuse again. This time he'll probably be going to Afghanistan or something and his deployment will be sudden and urgent and just happen to occur right in the middle of the transaction, after he gets the money of course. And then when someone calls him on his he'll start spouting off about how he's in the military protecting us and we should be grateful by letting him scam us all he wants.

Thats his car alright.  I remember.  Proof enough?   :icon_smile_big:

He says he knows what it is worth and what he paid for it last year, then says I have had the car for 8 years  :shruggy:

He's had it for sale for while now. I had a post/thread about it a couple of months ago.

I stumbled onto the orignal ebay listing after he posted it on my car club's facebook page, and he's posted links to craigslist/ebay several times since.

Like I said in the other thread - other than the way they left the site, they seemed like good folks. If he's indeed selling because of "health issues", let's send some good thoughts their way.Theres something to be said for taking the high road. Just saying.  :Twocents:

Good folks who happen to be crooks = not such good folks.

They really played the health/military card too often. Her poor health and his military assignments should have had nothing to do with car parts sales. The issue shouldn't have even been brought up by them. As I said in the "goodbye" thread, if you are unable to keep your promises due to other commitments or health issues you have no business making promises in the first place. How is it the buyer's fault if the seller can't follow through?

Oh I agree with that. It does not justify that whole mess at the end. Im just saying before all of that, they seemed like good people. I guess at some point it should be water under the bridge, but who knows...there are people here who still threaten acts of violence over a $20 t-shirt that they didn't get 6 years ago. :shruggy:

It is water under the bridge, unless he's still a crook and is now trying to sell something here. Potential buyers should be informed.

This part of the ad did crack me up a little bit...

QuoteThe car will not leave my driveway until I am paid in full via a cashiers check (from a nationally recognized bank, and yes, I will call the bank on the validity of the check) or a wire into my bank account or cash(if paypal add fees). I need a real buyer who wont yank my chain. I welcome ANY questions from qualified buyers! Once the funds are cleared, I will release the car. I mean no disrespect, but I have been down this road PLENTY of times because I have bought and sold many collector Mopars.
