These are glossed over pics... The meat and potato's are the pics and description you need.. The tail panel can be worth 5 bucks or 1500 bucks. The trunk emblem is the same way.. Both are being repopped now, but originals in great shape are worth more.

The complete console is about 4-500 bucks. But everything goes by it's condition... I paid 7K for mine as a roller, but it's as solid as the day it rolled out of the factory.. My tail panel is about 25%. No emblem. All interior there but needing to be replaced. Rolling stock was junk.

yep, he will take 1500.00 for it. think i will pass on it when you add the trip to ohio in there. i didnt get any pic's of the frame and know it has been sitting there for a few years.

in illinois in order to get it titled you have to get the car home, get all the #'s off it and turn them into the state. they run the #'s and tell you if it is stolen or not. then you have to take it to them for an evaluation of the value. after they have decided on a price, you pay 50% of that value to them to do the paperwork. if they give you a title after that, you pay title plates and taxes at that time. too much to invest for a car that i wont know if i can title till i have sunk quite a bit into. the car is in ohio if anyone else wants to take a stab at it.

Where in Ohio is it?  Someone had a title for it at one time....it has recent license plates on it (the front one looks like a ohio 65 tag and the rear is a newer issued tag from the past few years)...too bad cant read the numbers.....you can get a salvage title here in ohio easy enough....

i will have to call him up to find out where it sits at. he comes in my office from time to time. an over the road driver. we have been talkin about this car for a couple years now and he finally broke down and decided to unload it. now it is becoming a hastle for me with illinois, so i figured id let it pass to someone that could take care of it or make it a race car.

Yep.  Replacing a regular lost title in Ohio is amazingly easy these days.

Unfortunately, in Ohio, it doesn't take long for a car to go back to earth when it sits in the lawn like that.

I REALLLLLLLLY hate seeing that rare car like that!!! Today's car economy isn't great, but that car pulls good money when cars are selling...

Quick FYI: 1965 was the first year the Coronet came back after a 6 year hiatus. They made a gazzilion Coronets that year, but not many Coronet 500's.. The (500) means it has it's own (interior, tail panel tail lights and side bright work. It's a 2 door hard top or rag top only. It shares the body, dash, hood, deck lid,  headlights and grill with the same year Coronets other than 4 doors and wagons. (Somewhere along my years of owning 65' Coronet 500's), I was told that Dodge had been looking at hide away headlights for the 500 but the retooling would have pushed the price too high...

This was the ONLY YEAR for a slip joint/twin cable transmission and the first year for the 1 piece axle/flange 8 3/4.  The tranny core alone is worth $400.00...


I wish like hell I could go get this car myself.

I used a title service back in '06 to title one of my project cars in Illinois.  Breezed right through the system without a snag.
I have heard that Illinois is cracking down on the use of a title service lately. Anybody given this a shot in Illinois recently?

the owner of the car was in illinois today and headed back home. he is supposed to get a pic and description of the frame and pic under the hood. asked if it was an ac car so he is checking. hope to have the info soon.

yep, i just hope it will find a good home where someone has the time to put her together. console there,even the original radio. if it doesnt go in the next couple months, i may go get it in march. i have 2 weeks vacation.
