Detroit is about 45 minutes east of me so I can at least start the tour there, join the rest up to Muskegon, which is NW Mi, and then depending on when the tour goes back down towards Illinois I can do a bit of that before turning east and going back home.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Since I haven't finished installing my stereo equipment, I emailed Kicker to see what they're going to offer on the tour, here was the response;

Eric,
We plan do do several promotions during the stop at our facility. We have yet to solidify what those specials are and how we are going to promote them.
If you have Face Book, I am going to start a group page probably in February for the stop with all the details.

Thank You,

That's the one thing I haven't done to the car yet - stereo set up.  I wonder if Pioneer is going to do some cars also this year.  I'm going to see if I can try and enter a drawing.
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

Back in 2010 Pioneer contacted me several weeks prior to the start of the tour. At the time, the Challenger was radio delete. Unfortunately, I didn't want to face driving the first of the tour in silence, and I was leery about having anyone else do an install. E-body dashes are particularly difficult to do a clean, hack-free aftermarket install.  I ended up installing my own system ahead of time.

Installed a Custom Autosound system in the Road Runner last year, so I'm all set well in advance this time around.

Anybody book any hotels yet?  If you goto any travel site there are places to stay around the area of detroit, like brighton.  But if you goto the site they recommend you have to stay at someplace 30 miles away.  Just wondering what people were doing.

I was lucky enough to score one of the Pioneer installs on last years power tour  :coolgleamA: they were very accommodating on keeping my factory 8 track working and hiding the pioneer head unit. It sounds great and they did a great job on the install.

Ryan,
See you in Detroit. Near Joplin on Route 66, there is a restored 66 Drive Movie in Carthage(Mopar owner), Iggy's Chrome Diner, Baxter Springs has two diners that were on Diners, Drive In's and Dives. Also you can stop and see the original "TowMater" at the Four Women on the Route 66 Gas Station. You will also see a couple of familiar cars that traveled with you.

On Saturday if you stop at Bakers in Milford there may be hundreds of cruises there. This is a weekly gathering stop for all makes and there is a monthly mopar group that also has a get together there. Look them up on the web and they post the car pics from the cruises.

The problem is, if you long haul.  Even if you leave right after the ceremony on Saturday, there is no way to get to Monster Mopar on Saturday with any day light left.

The Post-MoPowered Tour plan is to head to Springfield, MO for Saturday night, then leave early Sunday to enjoy the rest of the day at Monster Mopar.

What do you guys think?
