Not to derail the thread or get off topic but...by the way, I will be doing all of this driving (6,500 miles) with my RMS Alterkation front end. I've noticed all the talk on the different Mopar boards regarding the potential "concerns" of this unit when used in a street application. I'll probably be doing some autocross on the trip as well. My RMS is stock. I haven't modified any of the areas some people are concerned with. I'm expecting to report back good results at the end of the trip because since this car has been built I've never had a problem with it.

YOU ROCK KWS!... first time I can say that literally  :smilielol:

Seriously you will never convince the haters/ know it all's on this stuff, I drove my Alterktion equipped 70 challenger on the long haul last year 4000 miles round trip, and will be doing it again this year with no extra mods and no problems.

See you on the autocross.   :coolgleamA:

Thanks man! I'll see ya on the road.

Also, FYI if anything does go wrong I will be sharing it with everyone here, but again... I don't expect anything but a great experience with my RMS equipped car.

Actually, my biggest concern at this point is where am I gonna find a 335/30/20 tire for the rear if I somehow have a flat. It's not like you can just grab one of those at any old tire shop.

It will be cool to see you on the Tour again this year Kenny.  There is some sweet stuff planned, as you can see.

Dave Ferro has done many thousands of miles of with his RMS setup in his little A-body barracuda.  Scotts done many miles in his Challenger.  I'm not going to get into why I know the RMS setup can fail.  Just going to recommend people read the information below.

http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=7195765&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1

But that's not the point of this thread.  It is about the MoPowered Tour and T-Minus less then two weeks.

there is one alternative you could take from the instructions if you chose to. june 5th from champain to madison, il. gateway race track, when coming down chain of rocks on old rt. 66 instead of turning left on 111 south to 162, you could continue straight through mitchel which will take you by the "luna cafe" which is an original restaurant that still operates. after passing that the road will continue under hwy 270 and become rt. 203 taking you through granite city. stay straight through granite city where it connects with 162 and right back onto the original route.  just a thought. :shruggy:

That's a cool idea, with all the stuff going on that day, with two awesome Mopar stops planned.  I mean really awesome stuff planned.  I think we are set.

ALSO.... the full events list is out with all the cruise nights and such from Hot Rod.

A few small updates.
We have a few people coming to Friday's dinner. LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE COMING. I need to talk to the people there and let them know. We are planning on hitting up the Union Wood Shop around 3pm that way we can do the cruise in Mt. Clemens.

The "GroupMe" program works. Just please, do not reply to the messages that we send. Your replies get forwarded to everyone in the group. And some do not have text messaging plans. If you have any questions, you can email me at this email address, or call me at 847-606-3813.

Still working on the official driving directions... wow there are a lot of turns.

Also a few mentioned that they would like to get together on Saturday.

We will meet at the WPC Museum @ 3:30 pm on Saturday. I have attached a 2 for 1 coupon. The museum closes at 5 so that should allow people to go around and view everything. After they close we will probably hang around for a bit then head to dinner.

ALSO, Russ's Drive In restaurant in Muskegon is closed on Sundays. We will instead be going to Dog N' Suds Drive in (much cooler IMO) just down the street (address below). I hope to be getting there around 6pm after the USS Silversides.

We're staying in Ann Arbor tonight.  Should meet us for dinner.  It will be late though!

Dinner on Friday @ Union Woodshop has been moved back an hour to 4 PM. They are not open at 3!

Also we might be changing the location of Breakfast on Saturday June 9th. They are not open at 7 am.

On the directions, when we leave Performance Plus in Odin, IL we will be making a RIGHT out of the driveway.

Other then that we are good to go. I'll be leaving Chicago at 5 pm. See you all here shortly.

Made it home after hitting Detroit to Madison. The trip was mechanically uneventful. Road Runner ran like a champ. Covered almost exactly 1500 miles.

This was my fifth tour. I try to do it every few years. Always fun, but always happy to be home. This year I don't really regret not long hauling. Started getting pretty warm yesterday.
