I agree that black 4-door is awesome and would make a great driver.

my first car was an '85 Ford Tempo.  I'm, like, bulletproof!  I bought it for $150 and sold it two years later for $60, and the guy made me deliver it.  I was afraid it would break down on the way over and I'd be out the sixty bucks

When I lived in L.A.  studio picture vehicles was right next door to my aircraft paint hanger on the executive side of the Burbank airport.. I would drive past it an there would be a whole load of cop cars . polaras furys satellites etc .All shined up and badged on a car hauler.  A week later it would be back with all of them smashed to bits! this went on and on for years. so studio picture vehicles is responsible for a lot of wrecked mopars.  Then just a mile away was the shop where all the dukes of hazard cars were built. I still got pics of that place somewhere. many chargers in every state of disrepair.  They had a constant ad in the paper for 68 through 70  chargers wanted any condition.

back to the coronet, I would never part that car out ,if he saves it Ill send him a hood. thats a great car with a 4 speed. my brother still has his 70 bee from high school ,bought in 1973. we painted it metalflake lime green, its a 383 ram air  factory 4 speed console bucket seat orange c stripe car.  its close to a basket case but can be saved, too much sentimental value .last seeing the street in 1978.If I had the money id buy it in a second. I stripped out a 6 pack bee and still have the disc brakes- doors- hood- tranny- dash with 4 way speaker and 8 track and vin. what a great clone that would make. my brother is builing an aircraft hangar in concrete washington and the bee and big block 70 cuda convert will be sent down this summer and the restorations will start. I have 7 coronet hoods .love these cars.    one question for anybody.  Did the 70 r/t coronets have honeycomb grilles?

Arnie Cunningham

When I was very young, the angry old neighbor lady next door drove a 70 coronet 4 door with a 383 and it was factory plum crazy.  The car really fit her lol.

You know I've always wondered how many oddball cars got high-impact colors in 1970. Like 4 door satellites and coronets and wagons and such. They've got to be pretty rare.

I've never seen a honeycomb grille in any flavor of '70 Coronet.
All of the grilles I have seen have the vertical bars.
Some of the them have the vertical bars blacked out.
AFAIK, all of them had the surrounding shell painted argent.
