I found this with the box and had to buy it.  It works great and only set me back $3.   :2thumbs:
I had one when I was 9 or 10 and played the heck out of it.

I didn't have that but the kid next door did. We played the $#!T out of that thing. The kid across the street had a NHRA game we played all the time too. I don't remember what it was called put it had the "tree" down the center of it and it was shaped like a top fuel steering wheel.

I had a game that had a Christmas tree at the base of the track & a shifter for each player.  You had to build the track a certain way cause power would cut off so you'd have to shift.  At the end was a little red shed lookin' finish line & the flag would fall down to the side that got there first.

The box had a mustached guy grabbing what I thought was a pistol grip shifter.  If I'm not mistaken the cars were Chargers' as well.

My room ended up being downstairs & our sewer line would get clogged with tree roots on occasion flooding the basement.  I wasn't living with my mom & this happened & they threw out a bunch of my stuff.  Included was that track.   :flame:

Was it red and powered by a 9v battery? I still have one of those around somewhere!

My dad's friend(also a drag racer) had the red one.  It is called Redline Racer.  It was a lot of fun.  :2thumbs:

It's amazing how far technology has come.  My kids have no idea how good they have it.

I would never have remembered it until I saw the pictures.

Now that the 'cuda is out of the garage I'm gonna make that half my slot car room.

I scored the track I was talking about in this thread.  Supposedly sets in good shape can go as high as $700.  When the set I won was listed I kept bidding on it until I was high bidder going in pretty good size increments.  I think that scared other bidders' off.  Other sets that I looked at had broken cars, tracks, finish line shed.  $300 may seem like a lot but it was a score.   :2thumbs:

I'm gonna come up with a pulley system to lift it up out of the way when not in use.
