I've never been afraid of heights as long as what I am on feels secure.

Sick, isn't it?  :o

Someone else once posted a video of some narrow trail that ran along a cliff. I think this is it, El Camino del Rey.....

The trail looks like it's held together on the cliff edge with tape & string.

I'd love to hike a trail like this, but not the way this one looks.

It is a cool video.  I believe it has been posted here a few times over the last couple years.

I couldn't do it.  Just watching the video moves my balls up under my throat.  I was in the electrical industry my whole career, but could never do the high work.  I wonder what physiological differences causes some people to fear heights and some to not be bothered at all......

I'd give it a shot. Looks better than what I'm doing for a living now. And most of what I've done in my last 27 years of glorified slave labor.

Googled how much these guys make.   It looks like a single climb might pay as much as $1,600, but, on an annual basis, a tower climber is going to bring down a whopping $60- 70K.

Wireless providers.   It seems they are always looking for someone.  :scratchchin:

Crazy.

Somebody has to do it I suppose, and strictly speaking the height wouldn't bother me since after the first 30 feet or so it really doesn't matter.

OSHA says they can free-climb? I'd like to see that in the manual. That's just insanely stupid. I was scared watching the video.

The guys on the trail, well I can only say that anybody who needs that sort of danger for recreation...Hopefully they just made a misjudgement and got in that far before they realized what it would be like.  I found myself leaning towards the hill just watching the video.

You might have something there!!!  Since we were not born equipped with wings, it would seem natural for us to be repelled by heights...

Although, some people have used some of those exact same words to describe me and my obsession with my charger!      I just politely correct them that it is a sickness / medical condition called Mopar-itis. :smilielol:

I know, right? LOL! It's amazing how much anxiety just watching a video causes! Yikes!
