Hi everyone, I'm a newbe here and this is my first post. I am looking for anyone that might know or remember any history of my F5 Daytona. I bought the car from Bob Stewart in Painesville Ohio back in 1982 or 1983. It is a 440,automatic,Dana 4:10 car. It was sold local there and had stayed in that area till I bought it. The car is original but had some sheet metal replaced and was painted before I bought it. I am missing the broadcast sheet and front jack.

  Thanks
   Dan

welcome...interesting that yours wasn't the only F5 car in northeast Ohio when you bought it!

I'll have to ask around to see who remembers the car.  How long did Bob own it?

Where are you and the car now?

hemigeno

Dan,

The '79 WW/NBOA newsletter had the car's owner listed as Robert Koci from the same town as Mr. Stewart.  Apart from that, I don't have any more details myself.  Thanks for posting the pic over here - I think I had saved the same one from a Moparts post a while back, along with the note that you were looking for the B-sheet.  Very nice looking car, and I'm sure we'd all love to see more pics too.

Gene, thanks for the info. I don't have any history prior to Robert Stewart. So the name Robert Koci is a new link in the chain for me to possibly learn more on my car. I was told by Mr Stewart that the car had the body and paint work done, then left sitting in a airport hanger unfinished for quit a few years. I had to go over some of the lights and get the over spray of primer off the seats when I bought it. I don't know how long it sat unfinished or who owned it at that time. The car only had 27,000 thousand miles on it when I bought it, now has about 29,000.

There is another fellow that was there when I was buying the car. Very upset that I had bought it. I believe he was some how related to Mr Stewart, like maybe a step son or some other connection through marriage. I think his name was Joe Groff,  he lived in the Cleavland area and had a White 70 Hemi Roadrunner and a Black 68 Hemi Charger. I know he later sold the Charger, but I believe he may still have the Runner.

 Thanks
  Dan

Yes, I remember conversing with you many times over the years. How is my old bee ? hope she is taking good car of the car. The Superbird projects are still just that....  I have continued to buy parts to do them but still need a nice cone or 2 and some internal cone parts. I have 4 other projects that I need to finish before I get started on a Bird.

  Nice to here from you!!
