door jamb switch

ok guys here another 1 both my runners have a wierd size door jamb switch the threads are 1/2 inch and the dut to tighten is 9/16 is this facory i think it has to be because both my runners have the same switches but where do u find them all i can find is 3/8 switches with spady type mine are spade type but i need the bigger threads any help would be help full

Normally replacements are still available at parts shops. I can see them being sold at the ebay at least ( both sizes ). The only piece hard to replace is the earliers 3 pins kind, used on 70 and 71s ( I think some 72s too )

If so, in 1970 they went to a bigger style dome light door jamb switch. The threads & hex nut are bigger vs the '68-'69 ones. And, finding them is TOUGH! You should be able to find clean used ones easier vs NOS ones. Check eBay, the swaps, or perhaps some members on here might have a few spares.

its a 73 rr wich uses the big 1/2" threads wich i cant seem to locate my 74 rr has the big one too

they have half inch threads thie first one u sent is the one i need 2 of them though do u have the ones w half inch threads are u a seller on ebay? please call me asap 701 626 1844
