Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

The link goes to the scammers server and a page asking you to log into your paypal account.
Thus the scammer now has your paypal id, password and bank account / credit card = free money for the scammer.

Anyone get this one,... looks legit.

PayPal's records indicate that you have not yet accepted the updated PayPal User
Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Failure to accept the updated PayPal User Agreement and Privacy Policy within 30
days will result in limited access to your PayPal account. If your account is
limited, you will no longer be able to receive or send payments.

PayPal values you as a customer and does not want your account to be limited.
Please click the link below. On your Account Overview page, click on the New
Policy Update link in the left column of the page:

Copy and paste this link in to your browser, log in and click the New Policy
Update link on your Account Overview page.

Then the link has you update your account with your password.

My full name was on it, but it was a plain text message with no PAYPAL blue borders in message.

To protect yourself, even if these are legit...delete the e-mail (or just don't clikc the link), then enter into the appropriate site (Ebay, PayPal, etc...) via their properly addressed splash page.  then when you try to login in, you will be given a message about any required updates.

The biggest problem is a hyperlink that is not what it appears...mouse over the link below (don't click...it's a false link) and look at the pop-up caption or the address in the lower left corner of your browser...

www.ebay.com/users/support/update.php?topic=update;dept=0f013a823b87623/

Never underestimate how much people want to trick other people into giving out all sorts of information...

Cheers,

Me too. :rotz: I just flush 'em.

It's gotten to the point where most anything I get from eGouge or Paypal, I automatically forward to their spoof departments...now & then, I'll get a reply back saying "Dude, this one's really real".  "Oh." :smilielol:

So DCG, did you actually get $380 sucked from your Paypal account then?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

TruckDriver

No, I don't have that much in there.
