8 3/4 is a very good axle for much less. A body 8 3/4 (If that's what you have) are bringing good money so it has value. You sure it's not the the 7 1/4 B body axle? (A body's are not as wide.)   :shruggy:

I didn't think they made a 7-1/4" rear housing for a "B" body....I do know they made a 8-1/4" for the Charger

I plugged the numbers in on line and it said it's a 8 1/4"   :shruggy:..... says Duster mostly used them.. :scratchchin:   I would like to get 8 3/4", but we need to get her running and driving before we figure out that detail!  this will get us around town to show off the paint!    :2thumbs:

Yep, you got the "Low Perf" 8 1/4 B-Body rear in that '70 with the cover on the back..Definately upgrade to a minimum of 8 3/4 rear.

That's what I was thinking.... :scratchchin:
Plan to hit a sawp meet later in the month and may hunt for a new rear since we have time this winter to switch it out!

any 66 to 70 "B" body should fit

QuoteI'd have liked to have had the bulkhead connector for looks
What I did was mount the bulkhead connector and drilled wire size diameter holes through where the wire would go through and just feed the wire through the hole.  No connectors were used and therefore no weakpoints.

only problem with that is if and when you have to take the bulkhead connector apart...now you got that wire through there

Painless is just a universal harness so you have to terminate every connection , nothing plugs in .
M&H through Year one have the most accurate harnesses , the use all the factory connectors & just plug in like an original harness

Do M&H sell a complete kit or do you have to buy separate areas like Engine, Dash rear??

Another productive day with a nice Indian summer day here in CT!   :coolgleamA:
Painted the Headers, fuel filler tube, gas tank, mufflers, and font fan.   was able to remove the front grill, but found that it's broken in 3-4 spots (not by us)  :brickwall:  Will be good to fix it and paint it new, or search for a nice used one which needs a little TLC.

New plugs in, fan back on, fresh coolant, battery tray back in, exhuast fully tightened, gas tank in, and filler tube in!   :2thumbs:  Just need to tighten a few more things, throw the front tires back on, lower her down and fire it up!!
It was 38 degrees in the garage but we kept busy so it wasn't bad.  my wife jumped on a few items in the engine bay!   :popcrn:

Thanks for the thumbs up!   Only have a few pictures of the car on a trailer from when we brought her home a few months ago.  Our goal is to have it running this week and out of the garage for a few pictures before it goes off for a re-spray!   We're keeping it the Sublime and turning the Hood to gloss strip and adding the proper bumble bee stripe on the tail (the PO hand painted it flat, thin, and in the wrong location).   :RantExplode:
This has turned into a bigger project than expected, but all is good!
it's actually my wifes project and shes been excited to learn how all the bits and pieces work!   we are REALLY excited to hear it run this week with proper exhaust!  the car came with open headers   :icon_smile_big:
