71 Charger side marker on 73 Charger

Anyone here installed/modified the 71 side marker lights on 73-74 charger fenders and quarters? How are they installed? Any photos? I suppose a larger hole needs to be cut in the fenders and quarters. Just wanted to know before dropping money on the marker lights and finding it was too challenging!

I've seen a picture of it done on here but I can't find it. Have you thought of just shaving them, looks clean! If you don't have a 71

Actually, I love the look of the 71s. Do you have a picture of the fender or quarter of your 71 without them installed so I can see how they fit?

Yeah I'll go snap one here in a bit but they are gonna be from an extra set of fenders I got here, as my car is still at the body shop.
