Quote500 miles/70mph = 7 hours 8 minutes
500 miles/80mph = 6 hours 15 minutes

250 miles/2.9 hours = 86.2 mph.

Not a bad average. I made it from Ft. Wayne to Detroit once with an 86 mph average. That's a very long time going very fast. Sad side note is that I discovered that my '86 Camaro 305/700r4 got 27mpg at that average when it only got 24 running 65.

Pshaaaa! I once made it from Battle Mountain NV to Austin NV (90 miles) in 36 minutes, 36.993 seconds.  :nana:

The trip back to Battle Mountain wasn't so good....

Look into radar jammers......
reminds me of 5th element were the cops scan his license plate but it's jammed. "he's got a scan blocker", "that means he's a car thief... blast him!"  :smilielol:

slow down and you dont need a radar detector.  :2thumbs:

Exactly...Go ahead and come through Va. with ANY of these contraptions, get caught with 'em,  and you deserve everything you get.
There's simply no excuse for blasting down the Public highway at some of the speeds I've seen posted here.

Sure, there's emergencies, but just because your impatient like most I have to see going to work every morning is crazy. As elecruze said, You aren't saving any real time by driving like a maniac. Sooner or later, someone's gonna get killed. Vehicular Homicide, nice one to have on your record instead of speeding. :icon_smile_angry:
