So, its been a while since I've posted on the board but I'm back again.  Finally got my charger running after some tinkering.  :icon_smile_big:  man was it a feeling hearing it run for the first time in my life.  I've come to the point though, that I feel I've lost the sentimental value I had for my charger.  See, it was supposed to be a restoration project for me and my dad.  Well, he committed suicide last year and I've grown to feel that even if I restored it myself, it just wouldnt be the same.  So, I've come to the conclusion that I would rather sell it to someone who really wants a 69 and let them have the fun of restoring it.  I would rather have some kind of "turn-key" muscle car that I like.  The charger was my Dads dream car.  But for me personally, I would rather have something like a 68-75 corvette or a 70 challenger or even a newer gto.  Just something different than the charger.  And I've also come to feel that life is way too short to be trying to invest the next X amount of years into my charger with hopes of getting to drive it one day.  I just really feel that it would mean more to someone else who really has "the dream."

So, I'm writing to ask.. what do you think its worth?  Or, what would be a fair trade for it?  I just want something that I can go out in the driveway, start up, and go have fun in.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

1969 Charger

original, all numbers matching 383, auto 727.
paint was originally black with black vinyl top.
console car with a/c.
bucket seats without the headrests. vinyl with cloth inserts. original floor mats included  :yesnod:
original hubcaps.
documents showing when it was bought, by my dads uncles father.  so, its been in my family since new.

Only thing I can think of thats not stock would be the holley carb.  Im thinking it originally came with a carter (69) but when the fuel octanes changed in 1970, he had a holley installed on it.

Only two things missing: piece of trim around drivers side tail light and tic-toc-tac.  Hawk replacement tac installed instead.

More pic's of the engine compartment, rear quarters and pic's of all the rust issues would help a ton.
Sorry about your father. What city are you in ?

Here's a link to the original thread that I put pictures on when I first signed up at DC.com.  it shows how the charger was before I started doing anything to it.

Looks like alot of work to me..I would put it on e-bay and let the auction ride..IMO you will be lucky to get 3K for it, but what do I know  :shruggy:

Camper trailer is probably worth more...  :Twocents: 3k is probably right, but on eBay folks will overpay so it might be worthwhile to list there  :scratchchin:

What did you did to it? Only paint or wat? I also think 3k or make it a general lee then 5k

I feel that life's too short to not do that, but that's just me.

I don't blame you for wanting to move on.  I'd also like to see a few more pictures, especially of the engine bay and the common trouble spots.  However, on first glance, I'd say you ask for $5000 and take $4000 minimum.
