Hey Don ,My  Mopar vote is in, hard to chose as they are all sweet rides,2 of them are in my neighborhood. You may have heard that Ron Passer (one of the entries) had a fire  last fall that destroyed some classic,s .Had a friend win 2nd place a few years back with a 58 Impala rag  :yesnod:     Good Luck

Sorry guys been a heck of a few days....It took awhile to find the time to be able to post an update.

My car won second place (Silver Medalist)!!!! I was absolutely stunned.  Still can't believe it. I did not expect to make the top 3 at all.

The orange 69 Camaro took first (Grand Champion).

Thanks for the support & votes!!!!!!

Went to the VIP Gala at the autoshow with my wife.

The Globe & Mail newspaper selected the car as one of the "Eight must-see rides at the Toronto auto show"

I've got tons of pictures and some video to share....so here we go:

Starting with videos:

Okay....updates. This whole experience has been pretty surreal. Never expected it but I am having a blast.

Let's start with some videos:

My car in the transport truck on the way into downtown Toronto to be delivered to the Canadian International Auto Show...this is on Wednesday...2 days before show opens to public.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zpQWl2-UFk

18 wheeler backs down a winding ramp into a large loading dock area under the convention centre...place was packed with trucks offloading cars and display material. I gotta hand it to those truck drivers....how they back a semi truck down that ramp and negotiate everything else is unbelievable. He had to park along a wall and we unloaded my car....I had one of the security guards video me coming off.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyM7AuQ7XT0

I then got to drive up a ramp into the building and drive indoors to our exhibit area. Drove right through the Ferarri, Lambo, Bugati and Maserati exhibits....everyone stopped to watch....that's right guys...THIS is what a real car sounds like  ....wish I had video'd that....but here is the exhibit coming together that same day (2 days prior to show). I was there all day.

The next day we came back for the awards ceremony at 1pm...video of exhibit 1 day prior to show
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-twaCXDDxbI

Later that night my wife and I attended a VIP Gala at the Autoshow. Pretty cool. Place was not open to public just us peons and the manufacturer executives. While listening to the car execs I learned something absolute...they are car company executives...they are NOT car guys!! Which may explain why cars have no soul anymore. Anyways here is a video tour of my car.

And finally I took a video around 11am about an hour after the show opened to the public yesterday.

Here are some of the exotic supercars we are sharing the same conference centre level with....you will see Peter Klute, owner of Legendary Motorsports and host of the Dream Car Garage TV show standing next to the Bugati Veyron.

Legendary Motorsports had an exhibit including a 427 Shelby Cobra and a Yenko Camaro

As owners of cars on display we got invited to the private VIP Gala the evening before the Autoshow opened to the public...

My wife and at our car

Was full of car execs and what looked (at least to me) like a lot of "escorts" on the arms of fat ugly guys in expensive suits.

Visited the Chrysler Exhibit two floor up....saw the new Dodge Dart  :bored:, the new Yellow Jacket Challenger, the new Super Bee and a cool Jeep

They had a Dart R/T version and a GLH Turbo version

Astounding brother!   Well deserved for such a fine ride.  Like you said first would have been nice but it looked awesome just being there.  Also they gave you a great high exposure spot.

Congrats man!!

Getting some media out of this as well. The used a picture of my car in the 184 page Autoshow Official Program (see below) and I was interviewed for a Toronto Star newspaper feature and was interviewed on camera by Autoshow Web TV.

Taking the family to the show tomorrow after their soccer and hockey games are done.

Way to go Don!!! :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: Your car looks beautiful (your wife too). I just got back from the show. What an awesome display. Getting the silver medal in this event is huge. Naturally, a Chevy got gold but that is a much cheaper and easier car to restore. The people there loved your car. The man on the microphone did a great job explaining your car and thank God he kept it '70 Charger R/T and never said a word about the Dukes of Hazzard. I had my car in the running for this event and made it through the first stage but, it did not compare to yours. Just think how many thousands of people are going to get an understanding of what these cars are about. You probably just raised the value of every Charger in the nation. In all of Canada, you represented the Charger for us all as one of the coolest cars ever made. Congrats!
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.

Congratulations Don! I can only imagine how exciting that must be for you. Sounds like you and your wife had a wonderful time. Wish I could be there to see the car myself but sounds like I will get to see it this year at Carlisle. Can't wait.   :popcrn: :drool5:
