After 4.5 years of grinding through one of the most rigorous engineering programs, I have finally graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Kettering University (Formerly General Motors Institute).  I have graduated, at this time I am Magna Cum Laude, but once this last terms grads come in it will be changed to Summa Cum Laude. With the GPA, being in two honor societies (one in which I am the vice president), philanthropy chairman of Phi Gamma Delta, photographer for the car club, an outstanding relationship with my co-op employer who gave me a fantastic thesis topic, and professionalism learned through my years of co-op, I have been able to land a job being a design engineer at Nissan. The best part is they hired me on directly! So expect to see pictures in the coming months of a beautiful new 370z Nismo. I'm not trying to toot my own horn here, but I have been with this community since my days in high school, and I thought it would be worth it to let you guys in on the good news.

You can pic my cap out from the crowd

If you or anyone you know is going to be going to school to become an Engineer please talk to them about Kettering University, I complained and complained when I was here, but now that I look back, what I was able to achieve at Kettering would not be possible anywhere else. 3 month rotations between working and schooling not only reinforces what was learned, but shows you hot to truly be professional. The required thesis allowed me to take a project from initial problem to completion and give me a leg up on my non Kettering counterparts.

Congrats! :2thumbs: I predict you'll get a couple of years under your belt at Nissan and then jump ship to Chrysler where you'll redesign the "Charger" by shaving two doors off it and making it look right.

Good stuff, I have a grade school buddy that went to the same school. Shaun is now an Enginering teacher at UD (University of Dayton).

I would much rather have see people succeed than say: Dude, I just got released from jail....as a thread.
