Problem with the gauges on a 69 charger.

Hi guys. I have a weird problem going on with my 69 charger. I finally got the tic toc tac working but it only works when the parking lights or headlights are on. I still also have no alternator or oil pressures gauges working eitheer. I did get the fuel and temp gauges working.

So first off, how can I get the tach to work without the lights having to be on? It makes no sense as it used to work fine. Maybe i mixed up the wires but i tried several different combos as i had the dash in and out around 4 or 5 times today. I'm new to the electrical/dash issues and trying my best to learn. Can someone please post a picture with all of the connections in the back and which colored wires go where? Not great at reading those charts and I don't even have one at the moment as my friend borrowed my charger book for a while. Thanks guys.

Can someone please post some pics of the wires hooked up to the back on the instrument cluster. I am still having trouble. What goes where and where all all of the grounds located?

Thanks gtx6970. The pics are great. One thing though. It's a little different. I have an aftermarket wiring harness that was installed. Out of the headlight switch, I have three wires coming out that don't connect to anything. It's really strange. One is black which I'm guessing should be a ground somewhere. Then there is another one coming out of the switch and one coming out of the dimmer. They have the metal clips at the end of the wires. These don't make any sense. I'm not sure why they don't just stay in the main wiring harness like on stock charger wiring harness. The same as is in your picture. Any help guys. Thanks in advance.

I still need some help guys. I bought the wiring harness from either paddock before they went out of business or became classic industries. It is just like a new year one wiring harness. Just confused on the extra wires coming out of the light switch and light dimmer knob on the dash. Can anyone tell me where these go to please. Thanks.

Ok I will try again. Please help if possible. The gray wire is one of the three loose wires. I found out that it goes to the tictoctac. Now I have a double yellow wire and a black wire to find where they go. The yellow wire comes out the dome/dash light knob, and the black wire comes out of the headlight switch. The black wire is really long so I'm guessing it might go to the fuse box? Any ideas guys?
