A Christmas present for the Charger.
All went together very well, nice fit. Had to shim the engine mounts for slight clearance on headers, but overall a really well designed install.

Looks great!  Question: I am going with TTI headers with the polished ceramic coating in a few months as part of my rebuild.  I have some pretty cheap Hedmans in there now, rusted and so forth.  It is my understanding that TTI uses thicker gauge steel in their headers.  Have you noticed any difference in either heat, noise or performance?

Thanks for your help and great job on the headers!

Literally finished it today! Have not run it yet...but YES the headers are quite beefy, 1 7/8" headers to 3" pipes.......

Looks good. Why did you have to shim the engine mount for clearance? At the price of those things, I would think that they should fit without any modification.  :shruggy:

Not criticizing your work, just curious because I've heard that these are the best.

Chryco Psycho

nice system !!
there are a number of variables , mounts compress over time even though everything is supposed to be exactly the same even new mounts may not be the same thickness , even the K frames are not made perfectly especially 40 years ago

YES, sloppy unibody construction, sagging mounts, etc. The headers fit extremely tight but well, and need to be in exact placement to not touch. Shim moved the engine over about 1/4 inch.

Looks Great!   :2thumbs:    Just finished the same install but with Hedman and 2 1/2 Flowmasters!   I itook pictures from the side and back, but like how you shot from the front back!   :coolgleamA:  will have to do the same shot before lowering the car.   I still have tank and other engine parts to throw back on, but as excited as you to fire up the beast!!

THANKS! Those were old Hedman headers that have been on there for 26 years. I think they were $125, and never leaked, cracked, and fit perfectly. Very good service from some econo headers.
