i bought a summit brand 3 guage pod  coolant guage, volt, oil pressure guage. the package didnt come with the correct fitting to put the sender in on the water pump housing plug holes. i got an adapter from napa i so the sender fits into the wp housing. the only thing i notice is after everythings all tight the probe can wiggle around a little bit. i put one in my old engine but i cant remember if it wiggles around or if it was solid after everything was tight.  if its going to leak because of this id rather explore other options. last time i just had a sun pro guage i got from advance and i had no issues. thanks, Mike

fill it with plain water first and bring it to temp, to test.

Is this a mechanical gauge with a capillary tube or electric?

If it's mechanical and the probe is loose it will leak.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
