what exactly did the auction entail?
It was a clean 71 Challenger for something like $6,600...but the weird thing was, the page loaded just like a normal auction page, but it was frozen. You couldn't scroll down or click on anything without a little window popping up, saying something like "all bidders must be pre-approved" and to e-mail the jerk, so he could siphon your bank account dry. :icon_smile_angry:

That's the first time I've seen one done that way. Have fun, Telvis! ;D

I received this email back from him today:

Hello there,

I received your email regarding my car and I would like to thank you for
beeing interested in it.The car has never been wrecked or damaged. No
damages,no scratches or dents,no hidden defects, and it is as advertised,it
passed the test emissions and comes with all the documents you need to
register it.Because this is our first contact and because we are in a
business relationship please let me introduce my self.
Here is my full personal info:

First name:     Samantha
Last name:     Anderson
ADDRESS:      Betlemske Namesti 2
CITY:            Prague
COUNTRY:     Czech Republic
ZIP:              11698

I bought this car from US and it was drived only within US . It was
registered in US and I had all the services done there. The thing is that
almost 5 months ago, I moved to Czech Republic in the city of Prague, but
when I found out how much paper work I must do to register it here... simply
I gave up and decided to sell it and buy a family wagon here ..I even
decided to support all the shipping charges in order to make a smooth deal
for this car.I will use Lufthansa Airplane Cargo for shipping, so you will
be able to receive it in 3-4 working days (depending on your exact
location). The car will be crated, will have an insurance and will be
delivered at your door without you being charged one penny more.As soon as I
have your firm decision that you want to buy,i will let ebay know about our
transaction and they should contact you with further details. I will take
the car to Lufthansa Airplane Along with the car, I will send you all the
documents that I have for the car - the title ,keys, owner manual and all the
receipts from services .Immediately after I have the payment confirmation
from you, I'll send the car in the next secound. In order to complete our
deal, I'll need your address to prepare the car for shipping.
I am awaiting for your email.

Best regards

I emailed him back and said that I really want the car. I told him I have an uncle in Prague. I told them my uncle will be taking care of the transaction and inspection of the car. I asked for a telephone number to set up an appointment. I bet they never email me again.

Hey Telvis, that was a good idea to say that.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

BigBlockSam

how much do you think 2-3 day mail for a car would cost to america. maybe,$20000?
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

He emailed me back and said it was fine for my "uncle" to come view the car. However he wanted a deposit first. I told him my uncle would come with cash in hand and asked for and address and good time to come. he never responded back. Friggin' crook! Hopefully no one would be stupid enough to fall for that.

Charger_Fan

You could have said "my Uncle will come with a check for $30,000...you cash it & give my Uncle back the rest". :D
