Craigslist Policy Question

I was placing an ad on Craigslist & got a verification message that I have to verify the ad with a phone number.

Does this does this sound normal, or is it BS?

Yes, this is correct.  Craigslist is doing this in order to curb the amount of scammers on Craigslist.

You will have to update this every six months.

I don't mind the phone number verification, it's a good idea to help stop fraud. I just didn't want my number scammed.

same here..I just got another one tonight...they sent me a link to my email I have registered with them....after that, I was able to continue with my postings

x3 works good and cuts on spammers. They're trying and I have to give them credit for it
