Yeah, back in the day, the super speedway cars used to run torsion bars that were up in the 1.5" range.  Talk about some huge wheel rates...

BTW, do you have a copy of Mopar's Oval Track Modifications book? If not, snag one on Amazon, Mancini, or someplace.

very sad I get to  see I-70 speedway closed and rotting away everyday

yes it sad to see i-70 speedway waste away. the only way that will change is for someone to buy out that jackass brad mcdonald that owns it.

That series looks interesting (who wouldnt want to drive Bristol or Rockingham?!)

Just got word yesterday that they are demolishing another asphalt track here, the last one we ran at  :brickwall:

What track are they destroying now???? my cousins have raced out of sumner wash for years. they raced crusier and street at spanaway till ,to many new houses were built and track was closed.than street and later model at tenino and bremmerton and hermaston.   but that late model has pretty much broke them. they ran a 67-68 camaro up into early 2002 and ruined dozens of 2 gen camaros and have 2 late model cars and bodies out in the field.now to of thier sons are racing 3rd gen camaros in washington.
What i started to post is afew mopars race at tenino, was 2 darts and a 3rd gen charger few years back.

I have one of those big bars like Ramo is holding, but ill never part with it. You can easily move your mount forward and use the early B body bars. If Your rules only say stock parts or whatever you can adapt a 1 1/8  sway bar from a brand X metric.

here is my current Circle car, 74 charger stubs built to 110" wb.

there is a wealth of info on circle track mopars here

Niiiiiiiiice!   Love them local tracks! Love them 3rd gen Charger race cars!
By coincidence I ended up right where Santa Fe Speedway used to be the other night (south side Chicagoland) and had to get out of the car for a moment at the corner of 95th & Wolf.  Nothing but new homes now,  but just the intersection made me stop & get out.
I'm picking up a Cavalier Z24 Saturday for $50,  running but needs front end work.  Haven't seen it yet,  but she'll be running at Sycamore Speedway this summer.  I already have a T-bird and another Cavalier but not yet prepped,  it's going to be a good summer.  5 more months of waiting .....
