Here is another old Dodge workhorse I recently encountered.  This one is a 1928 model.

It just goes to show, if you look after something.............it will last forever.  :2thumbs:

Very interesting history on that truck. The 1928 model was the last of the line: a true Dodge Brothers Company truck, made by an independent Dodge Brothers.

In June 1928 the Chrysler Company bought out the Dodge Brothers and combined Dodge with Fargo, Plymouth and DeSoto trucks. The 1929 model year started in July 1928 and Dodge was now one of the four trucks designed by Chrysler.

That 1928 model was actually called the Screenside and was the direct decendent of the Dodge Ambulance made for the First World War. Yes, it would seem to be the forerunner of the panel. What a wonderful find, thanks for posting Ghoste.  :2thumbs:

What interesting information. I enjoyed reading it. So much of our history is forgotten so it's nice to be reminded of it every now and again.

i think they probably did the right thing selling to Chrysler then, at least they didn't have to try and keep Dodge motors going though the great depression.

That thing is so cool.  Obviously they made those for dog owners.   :icon_smile_big:
