ANY OF YOU GUYS RUNNING A SET OF 2" TTI HEADERS WITH A FLOWMASTER EXHAUST.  I LOVE THE TTI HEADERS BUT NOT A FAN OF THE DYNOMAX MUFFLERS AND THEY ARE MUCH LONGER THAT THE FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS.  THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT A BUNCH OF FABBING MAY BE NECESSARY.  I WAS THINKING OF JUST GETTING THE HEADERS WONDERING IF THEY WILL BOLT UP TO A FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM WITHOUT MUCH FABBING?  ANY OF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS?  THANKS.  LOOKING TO USE THIS ON A 69 CHARGER

Hey there, I think you forgot to turn off your CAPS LOCK key.  :icon_smile_big:

Just out of curiosity, why are you not a fan of the dynomax mufflers? I'm about to buy an exhaust setup and it seems that about 75% of people on this forum have those on their charger. Seems to be a proven muffler.

Yeah started typing with caps on ans said screw it and kept going lol.  As for the dynomax mufflers they just aren't load enough.  I like the deep throaty sound of the flowmaster super 44 series and 40 series.  I guess if it is going to be a pain to fab I can deal with the dynomax for now.

Mancini racing sells the TTI exhaust and you can request flowmasters at an additional cost. So no fab work just bolt them on.   :2thumbs:

Done that too. Nice fit, be prepared to a lot of noise though. The flownasters are very loud!

I have Flowmasters on one car, Dynamax on the other. Both have TTI exhausts. Feels like your head is gonna explode with the Flowmasters, I MUCH prefer the Dynamax's now.

TTI gives you a little "extra" on the H-pipes so you can cut them down if you need to. I had to on the Dynamax Ultra Flows, which were about similar in length as the Flowmasters.

There was a chart posted somewhere on flow rates of several popular mufflers. The Dynomax welded Ultra Flo tested very well. I was shocked to see my beloved Flowmasters tested near the bottom. Its funny how we equate LOUD with power.

So regarding the Flowmasters...just how loud are we talking? Loud enough to make your head explode? Are you referring to drone inside the car or just outside cranking it up and waking the neighbors down the block?

I would say the Flowmasters are a bit louder than the Dynamax Ultra-Flows. Both at idle & cruising speed. The Flowmasters have a great sound at idle.
It's mostly the drone that is the turn-off for me. Depending on what rear gears you are running (I've got 3:55s), at about ~35-45~ mph there is a bad resonation/drone inside the car. I removed the rear seat this year & put down some sound deadening mats, it helped only a little bit but did not make it go away by far.
The '69 with the Ultra-Flows won't wake the neighbors down the block, sounds great (a little quieter), and flow better than the Flowmasters. And, no drone! I actually prefer the way the car sounds inside when driving vs the Flowmasters. I'm considering swapping out the Flowmasters for Dynamax's at some point, but for now they are staying. If I had to do it again I would have went with the Dynamax's in my '68 vs the Flowmasters.

Anyone have a link to the TTI headers? What company sells them cheapest? Looking for 1 3/4 - 3" collector

Here is TTI's website, you can buy them directly thru them:
http://www.ttiexhaust.com/

I got mine thru Promax, they are a distributor & great to deal with (talk to Ben):

Mancini is also a distributor, and VERY good to deal with as well:
