Hi one and all

You guys were so helpful with my power steering pulley issue, which is now resolved thanks to member sending one over to me here in Oz, I was hoping you could help me with this issue......

Am the proud owner of a 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye Coupe 440.

My problem, apart from living so far from it's home country, the headlight door actuator, are parts available for them?  Particularly the cams inside the motor.

If I read the factory workshop book correctly there are different cams that can be put into the motor to adjust the stroke of the doors.  No matter how much I adjust I cannot get the cam to open circuit the  open limit switches and hence when doors are fully open electric motor still has power to it.  Am sparky by trade and have checked inside th the motor cam box and all looks Ok in there.  Cam does not travel far enough to open circuit contacts when doors come up against door stops

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.  :2thumbs:

Just an update.  The new motor turned up today, swapped it out and it works like a charm.  Topher is a great guy and gave me some great service.  His rebuilt motors for the headlight doors are brilliant.  Looks just like a new one and works just like one too.

Many thanks for all your assistance gentleman.  So glad that I found this site.

Now just waiting on the new 15 inch standard rally rims, dress rims, rear 275's, front 235 tires (presently running 14" 225's front and back).  As well as bigger front and rear stabilizer bars, QA1 shocks and new extra leafed rear leaf springs.  I'll get this thing to handle yet.  Obviously I'll keep all the original parts.
